Locations, Props and Lighting
Locations
Due to the nature of our teaser trailer it was important that we use a variety of both indoor and outdoor locations.
The outdoor locations that we needed to use were, ideally, a mix of wooded and country locations. Due to this we found that the most suitable filming location for the majority of the outdoor shots within our trailer would be 'Chosen Hill' in Churchdown.
Due to the hills varied locations we were able to film a variety of shots within a small radius whilst still retaining the creative edge and showing a number of different locations within our trailer.

Furthermore we wanted our killer, a cannibal, to be living in a dingy and decaying location. To film these shots we found the perfect location within our school grounds, the boiler room.
Located under the main school buildings, the boiler room's expanse of small rooms, alcoves and corridors proved perfect for the filming of our indoor shots. Whats more, due to the number of natural holes and windows, we were able to film in mostly natural light opposed to bringing studio lighting into the trailer.
The boiler room also enabled us to create different shots whilst making them appear to be spread out across the film.

Props
Due to the trailers genre and the shots that appear within the trailer, we required relatively few props.
The biggest prop requirement throughout the trailer was the need for fake blood - particularly where the destruction of 'body parts' was needed. We found that sourcing these was very simple due to what we had already learnt within a blood making workshop.
We also needed to use knives within our trailer for when the cannibal was seen to be chopping up hearts. Again, sourcing one of these was particularly trouble free.
As already mentioned as part of our trailer we use hearts. Obviously using human hearts was not an option and so we had to source animal hearts from a butchers shop. In the end we worked with three Lambs hearts.

Lighting
We were lucky in that our filming locations offered a lot of natural light and, therefore, meant that we required very little in the way of added lighting design.
The only time we required to light the filming separately to what natural light was available was when filming in the boiler room. However, all that was required to light the scene was a small amount of light that was available from a mobile phone.
