By looking at these previous trailers we have been able to get a clear idea about how we should structure our teaser trailer, overall.
We have found that, in general, we should aim to create a final product no longer than 1:40 but ideally it the trailer should be last around 60 seconds, as this task is for a teaser trailer rather than a theatrical trailer. This piece of information has allowed us to plan our own project to a greater depth because it helped us to realise that we don't need to show great detail of the story line through our work - as we simply don't have long enough.
From our research we have also found that our end product needs to contain around 40 shots, including titles. Due to the fact that we hadn't really thought about how many clips we'd need this figure was quite a surprise to us. However, this has since given us the opportunity to plan a trailer with quick meaningful shots that is engaging and interesting.
The information we found least surprising about the trailers was that the majority feature very similar locations and location numbers. A woods and house seem most common. We have taken inspiration from the locations used in previous trailers but because of our unique trailer plot we will need to discover new and unconventional locations.
