Pitch
Our teaser trailer is based on cannibalism, it revolves around the story of a girl who grows up alone in the woods and has to resort to eating raw flesh to survive. It is similar to the films Mama (2013) and Hannibal Rising (2007).

The film will be located over a variety of locations including wooded areas, 'bunker style' rooms, abandoned houses and other such places. We are thinking of predominantly setting the film in these locations because they add to the isolation of the victim and enhance the danger that surrounds them. Whilst the teaser trailer will be created using shots exclusively from the woods and bunker style room.
Shots within our film will use an eclectic mix, including midshots, high-shots and panning shots. This will be true of our teaser trailer too. The shots within the film will vary in pace, appropriate to the context of the scene, to ensure the audience is kept engaged. Within our trailer, however, shots will be fast paced so as to show the films full themes and ideas.

We will be casting the film, overall, with a cast of both females and males. We will be looking at a different style of casting for the trailer because we don't feel that the male characters are significant enough to need to appear in it. Therefore we plan to only use the victim and killer in the trailer.
Due to the initial development research we will be aiming the film at an audience of 18-25 year old males as these are the members of society most likely to watch this style of film. According to BBFC data, our film will probably be classed as an 18 due to the depictions of blood and gore within it. This is the same for the teaser trailer.

The locations used in our trailer are wooded areas and a boiler room. We chose to film in a wooded area because it fits in with the back story and it is an isolated, eery location. We filmed in the boiler room because it is dark and acts a bunker type location where the killer takes her victims to kill and eat them.
We filmed shots to show the victim being chased and later the victim is shown again in the boiler room. We also used shots involving a heart, we filmed it being chopped up by a knife and being ripped apart with bare hands, there is also shots that suggests the killer is eating that heart. This is to capture the idea of the killer being a savage cannibal.
Our original idea was fantasy and this was very difficult to capture so we decided to use a gory alternative idea that had an increased interest in a short space of time. In 2004, cannibalism was a very popular genre of film and this decreased until there was an increase in 2011 and since it has stayed high in the market.
Our target audience is 18-25, we have had to give our film an 18 rating due to the graphic content.
